Project overview

Senshi Tatakai is an early-stage game built in Unreal Engine. The brief was to produce an alpha demonstration, bringing gameplay and sound into a working environment for further development.

The challenge

A game concept needs to be experienced before all its decisions can be settled. The alpha needed to connect movement, gameplay systems, environmental behaviour and sound within a playable build.

Our involvement

  • Playable Unreal Engine alpha demo
  • Hand-coded gameplay systems
  • Environmental systems and technical audio
  • Original Foley and audio integration

Technology

The alpha was built in Unreal Engine with hand-coded gameplay, environmental systems, technical audio and original Foley brought together inside a playable build.

Design and engineering

Gameplay and sound were developed together rather than treating audio as a finishing layer. The self-hosted gameplay capture shows the environment and interaction. Alpha status is explicit: this is a development artefact, not a finished commercial game.

Testing and delivery

The playable alpha was used to experience the core movement, gameplay and audio together. The gameplay capture shows the development build in action and gives the next stage a concrete starting point.

Result and current status

The concept became a playable Unreal Engine alpha that could be reviewed, demonstrated and developed further. It is an early-stage build, not a finished commercial release.
